About Me:

Marco Cummings is a seasoned journalist and digital producer based in Denver, where he has lived since 1987. Currently residing in the University Park neighborhood, Marco’s roots in the city run deep.

After graduating from George Washington High School, he pursued a double major in Journalism Studies and French Language at the University of Denver, solidifying his passion for storytelling and communication.

Since 2010, Marco has been a dedicated professional in the newspaper industry. He began his career as a one-man sports department at the Valley Courier in Alamosa, Colorado, before expanding his bylines to include notable publications such as Mile High Sports Magazine, 5280 Magazine, The Denver Post, The Dallas Morning News, and The Chicago Tribune.

Although sports journalism has been a significant part of his career, Marco’s expertise and coverage extends across multiple topic. As a digital producer, he has delved into a wide range of topics, including crime, courts, the food and beverage industries, business, and finance. His ability to navigate and produce content across various subjects showcases his versatility and commitment to delivering impactful stories.

Additionally, Marco is proficient in French at a professional level, and has traveled to over 20 countries, allowing him to connect with a global audience.

Marco is an active member of both the Asian American Journalists Association and the Society of Professional Journalists, reflecting his commitment to promoting diversity and maintaining high standards in journalism.
