Notes: In 2011 the Colorado High School Coaches Association moved their All-State Games to Alamosa, Colo. I was commissioned by Denver Post Preps Editor Neil Devlin to cover the event for Sunday’s edition.

Notes: In the wake of the recent 2010 World Cup, I wrote a sports column detailing the local Colorado  influence on English Premiere League Soccer team Arsenal. This particular column won second place in the Colorado Press Associations Annual Best Sports Column Contest for Division IV Newspapers, which was judged by members of the Wisconsin Press Association.
